Will Powers is a retired superhero, the former Steel Samurai. Charged with mentoring Pearl Fey, Will has had to adjust to civilian life and let Pearl discover herself as the Pink Princess.

Will Powers is a gentle giant. Despite what his imposing stature and somewhat neanderthal features might lead people to think about him, he is always courteous and soft-spoken, always stern and focused in his work. He also has a playful, childlike nature that lets him see the positive side of things even in the face of overwhelming darkness. He likes to make children happy, especially Pearl, and cares little for more materialistic pleasures (outside of a good steak, at least).
Will often weeps during movies.

Although he hasn't picked up the mantle of the Steel Samurai in years, Will Powers retains his martial arts knowledge and the skills he developed as a superhero, especially his mastery of the mystical Essence of Bushido. He has full access to the complete repertoire of techniques that derive from the Essence of Bushido, and stays in practice so he can pass on his knowledge to the next generation of warriors. Although skilled with nearly all weapons traditionally used in martial arts, his weapon of choice is the Samurai Spear.
Like Pearl, Will learned everything he knows from the previous master of the Essence of Bushido. He has never identified who his teacher was, or where they may be found.

- Although Cody himself has hardly ever showed up for training, Will feels some sort of obligation to guide the ambitious young man. Mostly because he wants to make sure Cody doesn't hurt Pearl (and vice versa).

- The man who helped design and repair the Steel Samurai's signature armor. He's currently working on Pink Princess' armor, which should be ready when she completes her training...
