[edit] Biography
[edit] Personality
Literally a "good man," Bruce had an acute sense of honor and justice that fueled his detective and superhero career. He had a natural distaste for underhanded tactics and deception, and spent much time coming to terms with the nature of his work: as long as he was certain that his actions could serve justice, he had little qualm about using his illusory powers for espionage and subterfuge. In personal matters, he always conducted himself with the utmost sincerity.
[edit] Powers and Abilities
Bruce had latent psychic abilities that, while not incredibly extensive, were powerful in a single respect: his ability to cloud the perceptions of other people, specifically concealing himself from vision, save for his shadow. This distinct power is what earned him his supername, and it is what made him a valued detective and agent in the field. Bruce also exhibited limited telepathy, occasionally informing his teammates of important events or discoveries.
Bruce's illusory powers are easily overpowered by magical effects, such as those employed by Vision (and there is some debate as to whether this connection is what led to their romantic involvement).

[edit] Friends
- Angel Starr
- Bruce's former teammate from SL-6 and the love of his life. When they worked together, she was the only one who could see through his illusions. When he faked his own death, it was she who most had to believe he was dead, lest her powers turn into a liability.
- Jake Marshall
- Former teammate from his days working in SL-6.
- Neil Marshall
- Deceased former teammate from his days working in SL-6.
- Lana Skye
- Former teammate from his days working in SL-6.
- Mike Meekins
- A young hero who tried to join SL-6 in its prime and was quickly rejected. Unlike the rest of SL-6, Goodman saw potential and an earnest devotion to justice in the young man, and encouraged him to keep trying. After his "death", Goodman placed his trust in Meekins to serve as his indirect contact with the remaining forces of justice.
[edit] Foes
- The Fiddler
- After the disbandment of SL-6, Bruce has devoted his life to investigating his former leader and putting a stop to his plans. He faked his death so he could continue his work against him in the shadows.
- Angel's Boyfriends
- It's weird. When her minions start stepping out of line - you know, if they consider taking advantage of her or anything - bad things start to happen of them. A sneaky, semi-jealous lover looking out for her from the shadows? ... naaaah, couldn't be.
[edit] Trivia
- Almost completely inspired by "The Shadow", in particular the 1994 movie starring Alec Baldwin.
